What’s with the Leyton Haters?

OK I’d like to start off saying this, what’s with the Leyton haters. Yeah I understand they love Brucas; who I personally hate. All these Brucas fans need to get over themselves, its Leyton now and always will be, it really ticks me off when people bring down Leyton, like when people say that Peyton and their baby should die, seriously you shouldn’t wish that on anyone!
In this case neither Peyton nor the baby should die. Lucas and Peyton have waited so long to be together. They should be able to leave One Tree Hill, with their baby and being married. Brucas, should have never happened, but then again without them Lucas and Peyton would have never known of the love for each other. I’m sure Brooke will find a man of her own, she is a slut for god’s sake. My question is this; Why do people hate Leyton so much? If you were to ask mee why I hate Brucas so much, I can flat out tell you my answer.

Yea same here. Brooke is the best character on OTH for God’s sake and the most famous and successful one. Moreover, she’s sweet and charming. And she should end up with a deserving man if not Lucas. I think Julian and Brooke are cute together, but I so wish for Brucas too.

Besides the bit about Brooke i totally agree. I mean i love Brooke and I loved Brucas but i think their romance was a highschool thing. Leyton were meant to be.

I mean, I know you love Leyton, loads of people do, but Brooke is interesting even on her own. I just don’t find Peyton that interesting unless she’s with Jake or Lucas. But, then again, to each her own

people need to stop acting like complete asses about the LP baby!
Brucas fans just need to realise that its GAMEOVER and there is no more love triangle, who’s he gonna pick? or whatnot

I see your point. Lucas did pick Peyton but that doesn’t mean us Brucas fans cant hope or reminisce. In my opinion Brooke and Lucas were a really good couple back in high school, but i really like Brooke with Julian now.I don’t hate Peyton but shes not interesting on her own, i don’t wish anything bad on her and the baby but i wouldn’t mind if she left town and left Lucas behind.

Okay, here’s the thing: I LOVE LEYTON AND I ALWAYS WILL. ( I know how that sounds)
But just because I hate Brucas, it doesn’t mean that I hate Brooke. She is awesome and she has grown so much through the years. She is most certainly not a slut!
You’re asking us why WE are hating someone, when you’re doing the same. Except we don’t hate anyone, we just hate some personalities together. Seriously, what is wrong with you?

And Brooke is in no way a slut. Peyton is the one that cheated on her bestfriend with her boyfriend TWICE. She is a boyfriend stealer, or rather a Lucas stealer. She stole Luke from Brooke twice, and then again with Lindsey. She seriously can’t put away the boyfriend stealing claws.
But that doesn’t really mean I hate Peyton. In fact I really like Peyton, I just don’t like the person she becomes when she wants Lucas. Especially when he’s with someone else.
And I would never want Peyton or the baby to die, I would cry, it would be so sad. But I don’t think the show should end with Leyton. I personally think that Sophia and Chad should put their feelings aside and let the show end the best possible way it should. With BRUCAS.

OMG I love you right now Annie. You said everything i was thinking. But i dont think its because of Chad and Sophia not wanting to be together that Brucas doesn’t exist, because in the end of season 3 and the beginning of season 4 chad and Sophia wern’t together but bruas was.

I do like Peyton and Lucas together – thowever Peyton bugs me SO SO SO much! In the last 6 seasons all she has done is felt sorry herself most of the time and it is so annoying whereas Brooke is usually positive and optimistic all the time..!!

I was always a Leyton supporter, and though people are entitled to their own opinions, they’re canon and will remain canon. Brucas ended years ago. Why dig up old graves, right?
I love Brooke, by the way. She’s my favorite character. She’s always nearly so happy and perky, and she knows how to pick herself up from mess-ups.
(Lucas and Peyton are way too depressing to be my favorite characters.)

I’ve watched s1 and s2 of the show in the last week. And from that perspective, I’m really disappointed and a bit confused. I thought Lucas was a boy who had admired Peyton for ages from afar. Lucas was supposed to be in love with Peyton before we even got an audience and crushes don’t just go away. He finally got her to like him, and now has the chance to be with her. I understand the makers of the show don’t want to get them together too early and spoil it, but is the Brooke thing really supposed to be taken seriously? Brooke’s a really annoying, spoilt, shallow girl, good company I’m sure but I think dull teenage divy jokes and slag-offs to people about periods, embarassing “geeks” who “stare” at her, etc. What is there to love/admire? She kind of represents.schooldays and teenagers at their worst and most pathetic. She was understandably besotted with Lucas, who went out with her because he couldn’t have the one he was in love with. She was annoying, smothering him, to the point where he must have just wanted to get her away from him. Of course she would admire and want him. He’s way too good for her. So the idea that he’s interested, that he loves her and there’s some big romance there… I do not get it, although I guess there are a lot of young people who sadly identify more with Brook than anyone, and empathise with her, and that’s who the producers were trying to keep happy. I’m so glad to hear it gets back to some sort of sense in later series because it’s like the show’s jumped the shark at this point for me. You don’t just stop fancying the love of your life and get all infatuated instead with some spoilt, shallow, madam who’s biggest worry ever has been that daddy hasn’t filled up her bank account so she can get some new shoes. At least not Lucas as he’s supposed to have some substance and I just don’t see how he’d find that attractive.

Arushi, get your facts straight. Peyton and Lucas never slept together while he was dating Brooke either time. Have you bothered to watch the show? In fact, they slept together for the first time EVER, long AFTER Brooke gave them her blessing to date each other and be an official couple near the end of their senior year of high school.
Yes, Brooke was “spoiled, shallow and a slut” in the first season but she grew up and turned her personality around to become someone genuine and real.
Besides, the final 2 episodes of season 6 have pretty much destroyed any chances of Brucas ever getting back together…as if they ever would anyway.

they wanted there to be a story but LP end up together, hence season 4, 5 and 6.

I’m sorry if you think Brooke is a “spoiled slut” because, trust me on this one, MOST people like Brooke more than Peyton. Peyton is interesting BECAUSE of LEYTON. And that is, frankly, revolting.
She’s not worth watching till she’s with a guy. And one particular guy at that.

Peyton didn’t show any interest in him, what, was she supposed to hang around and wait for them to happen when she liked Lucas herself?
