Like her, or hate her, you can’t deny Peyton Sawyer is a survivor.

I have never seen a teenage girl go through so much pain and misery and heartbreak.
Maybe it’s because I’m terrified that our beloved P.Sawyer might not make it through this season but I just wanted to say my opinion on her.

BL fans can say what they want ‘she’s so selfish’, ‘she’s a slut’ etc but we all know that’s not true.

This is her story: (in my opinion anyway)

Peyton lost her mother, in a car crash, at 10 years old, and lived without her father for most of her teenage years.

She had an ass of a boyfriend in Nathan Scott, who never treated her well.
She fell for Lucas Scott and when she decided she was ready to open up to him, he was dating her best friend, who liked to ‘rub it in’ every now and again.
Then comes the dreaded love triangle and yes she did steal Lucas from Brooke, but she was in love with him!
And people always seem to forget that she broke up with Lucas because she didn’t want to hurt Brooke anymore!

She also lost someone she really cared about in Jake (+ Jenny) when they left at the end of Season One.
More heartbreak, with falling in love with Jake and then him leaving again.
She also found out she was adopted, got close to her birthmother, who then died of cancer.
She was shot in the school shooting, and her best friend didn’t even check in after to make sure she was doing okay.
She realised she was still in love with Lucas, and told Brooke, who immediately cut her out and told her she wanted nothing to do with her anymore.
She got attacked by a psycho stalker, pretending to be her brother, and then when she finally got close to her real brother, he left to fight in Iraq.

She found out Brooke had betrayed her by sleeping with her boyfriend MINUTES after they had broken up and made a sex tape about it.
She was attacked by psycho stalker AGAIN!
Come Season 5, we found out her dream of music hadn’t come true as she was still assistant to the assistant.
And she’d lost the love of her life to a new girl, who Lucas then asked to marry and almost did.
After that Lucas told her he hated her but finally came to his senses and asked him to marry her.

And when we finally think things are going to be okay for Peyton and fiancé Lucas, with a pregnancy on the way, we find out she has a condition where she could die if she has the baby.

Her wedding day, the happiest day of her life, when she FINALLY gets what she has wanted for yeears, and she can’t even enjoy her wedding night because she collapses with blood everywhere!
Now I’m still so scared that Peyton won’t make it to spend her life with Lucas and her baby, especially after the HUGE amount of stuff she has had to go through.
Peyton Sawyer will always be my favorite TV character, no matter what she does, or whether or not she survives, because she is a beautiful, strong, selfless and brave girl who has fought through so much!
And I don’t care what anyone says about her, because I know she is a role model to so many people.
