Nathan w/unknown Girl (Screencap, episode 304)

It’s Monday!! We all know what that means, it’s time to check-in with the world of Tree Hill. Have you guys checked out the promo for tonights episode (if not, you can do so by clicking http://www.one-tree-hill-episodes.com/you-are-watching-one-tree-hill-s07e02).

What are your initial feelings towards Clay? Nate’s sports agent. He seems extremly emotional, in regards to Nathans possible sex-scandal. Any idea’s on who the mystery woman is? The only girl from Nate’s past, I’ve ever wondered about was shown briefly in season 3. Do you guys remember the masquerade ball, held at Tric (“An Attempt to Tip the Scales” Episode 304)? Nathan had been looking at pictures from his summer spent away at high flyers, and had stopped on one, of him and some girl, before picking up the phone and saying “We should get together tonight…there’s just one thing, Haley can’t know.”

Now, we all know, that was a bit of misdirect, since Nate was actually calling Chris Keller, but the identity of that girl was left unknown. Maybe she was a nobody…or maybe, she was a returning plot-line. I guess we’re all just going to have to wait until tonight.

It seems Julians Father is also making a comeback in tonights episode. Apparently trying to ‘save his son’ from a horrible mistake; I guess we’re all left to wonder the same thing. Is Brooke the horrible mistake? Is Paul trying to persuade his son out of the idea of marriage in general? Maybe shedding light on Julians childhood; what went wrong between his parents…etc. We know that Julian took his Mothers last name, which, according to Paul was an attempt to seperate himself, creativley and professionally from his Father…which still leaves the wide door open; does he simply mean that giving up the producers credit in a movie for a girl was not a smart choice? Or is he hoping to talk his son out of the idea of marriage…the idea of marrying Brooke Davis? Either way, Paul has always come off extremely arrogant- in my opinion. He was eager to become friends with people (ex. Lucas) if they were willing to give up the dirt on his son; but ready to stab them in the back, if they came to his rescue. Maybe he blames Julian for his failed relationship? Perhaps he’s still a little bitter about it all? Or maybe, true to OTH’s style, the preview showcased some misdirect when Paul opened the door to a startled Brooke.

I don’t know if I’m just a sucker for the Nayley relationship, but I’m not sure I believe Nate would have recently cheated on Haley. Which is why I feel that, if he truly did sleep with this women, it was done a considerable amount of time ago. Do you really believe Nate would have risked it all, for a one night stand on the road? It seems to me that Nate has turned into an amazing guy. He makes mistakes, because it’s a part of life, but part of his metamorphisis, has included Nate learning to admit to his flaws and mistakes, and take responsibility for his wrongs. I’m finding it hard to believe that he would have made such a serious call in judgement, without owning up to it.

I have to say, season five brought some new feelings towards Haley. At times, especially in regards to Lucus and Peyton’s relationship, she came off very self righteous. Her energy was very much ‘holier-then-thou”, that the people in her life had wronged her in ways she would never succumb too. Season six did seem to mellow her out once again, so I am crossing my fingers that this does not take her back to that place; one where she is un-trusting, and angry and almost blinded by pain. At a certain point, I almost expect more out of her. I expect her to trust that the man she fell in love with would not do something like that. So, although it’s hard to hear, and adds new drama to be dealt with, I feel like she needs to have more faith in her husband, because if all it takes are a few words to shatter their marriage, that would be pretty disspointing.

I feel like, Haley’s focus should be on RBR. Her and Mia need to find a way to stick it to that absolute cow the record sent to close Peytons legacy. In some ways, it’s nice to have a character that you love to hate; like Jason in season five. I hope Miranda turns into that character for us, because it’s easier to hate the new characters that you don’t really have any emotional connection to. Which I felt was my problem with Lindsey back in season five. It wasn’t that she was a bad person, or her words and actions weren’t valid, but I had spent, what, four years, building up an emotional connection towards Peyton and Lucas as a couple, and all of a sudden there was someone there who was trying to take that all away. I see that in Miranda.

Is it just me, or does Jaimie get cuter in every single scene. I have nothing bad to say about Jackson. I think he is the perfect little boy to play Nathan and Haley’s son, and I love their family dynamic. I think they all work extremely well together, and can create that family atmosphere, one that is believeable and true. The same goes for our other loveable supporting characters. Lee Norris who plays “Mouth” as well as Antwon “Skills” Taylor; their scenes always seem to work perfectly as our much needed comic-relief! They have a very strong dynamic together, and their scenes, whoever might be joining them, no matter what the moment is suppose to turn into, I feel that they all work very well together at creating the memorable moments we all want and need to see.

Before I pose my final question to you all, I have to ask your opinion. Because I’m not sure I’m in love with Dan’s new role as narriator. What do you guys think? Is that going to stick? Do you feel that Dan is the right person to take over that role in Lucas’ absence? Me, personally? Dan is a character that I love to hate…I love to love and love to feel emotionally drawn towards. His character illustrates the bad and good in us all, and although those extremes are both foiled, for effect, he keeps things interesting, to say the least.

My last comment, is posed to all of you. Where the heck is Jaime’s fluffy haired bunny, Chester?
