According to the creator, the episode that aired during the series finale has been uncut. We all got to see it in full, and thankfully The CW has agreed to that kind of arrangement. The edited version didn’t have the singalong part of the show’s theme song, which would have been a bummer for fans of the show. The actors all had a fun time shooting that segment.

Asked if there was any character he wanted back but failed to bring on the show, Schwann revealed having missed Peyton.

“That character was so significant. I loved [her] so much, and I think a lot of fans loved that character. So, it was a little odd not to see Peyton.”

Hilarie Burton could not be on the show, as other work committments prevented her. The show did make a special mention of Peyton, implying that she is pregnant with baby number four or five, and can’t travel back to the Hill.

The show employed the use of a flash forward for this season and fans have noticed that their characters hardly aged, to which James Lafferty, one of the actors with Schwann in the interview, quipped:

“Contrary to popular opinion, our kids growing up actually made us look younger. It’s kind of an anomaly.”

It’s time to say Goodbye to One Tree Hill…

Back to Brooke, seeing her family together, as a family was something that if you asked me nine seasons ago, I would have said I didn’t see it coming. However fast forward to present day and with a lot of focus being put on Brooke’s need for a father/daughter relationship it came as no surprise. Why else would they have put so much emphasis on it? Either that, or she was going to completely blow him off. But, again we as fans know Brooke Davis would not have been happy without her relationship with her Daddy.

I also found it interesting that Julian’s big break is a series about Brooke, yet another One Tree Hill snippet that I didn’t see coming. The launch of Baker Man across the street from Karen’s Cafe was a nice touch as well. What are your thoughts, were you happy with the emphasis that was placed on Brooke Davis’ character or did you think others deserved a little more attention?

There are reports that even as the show is going to bow out of TV forever, it could be given a second life (albeit short and on a limited time only) at the movies.

Series creator Mark Schwahn isn’t actually opposed to the idea saying that he would like to revisit the show again and have a reunion, which can possibly end up in a movie.

He further says that if there’s such a demand from the audience, the more that he is opened to the idea.

“I’ve spent so many years having conversations with these fictional characters, I always say that when I get old I’m going to be so senile, talking to these make-believe characters.”

“I would never say never; it’s all project-specific. The way I look at it is: there are people who love the show. If they miss it, if they’re interested in some stone that we haven’t turned over yet, then why not? If people want to see it, and they love it, and we love it, then I don’t think it’s anyone else’s business.”
