Apperantly chances of One Tree Hill returning for an 8th season are pretty good.  The CW has conformed a new season for 90210, Gossip Girl, Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries and few days ago announced Smallville had been renewed for a 10th season. [...]

Melrose Place and One Tree Hill are one of the few CW shows being considered for cancellation. Even if it does return, “contracts are messy” and there may be cast/crew cuts.
